Is there anyway to look and work on the candlestick chart (forex) without download metatrader 4?

I have a portable Mac and I cannot unload to metatrader 4. Everything what I want is to see graphical previous candelabrum and to work with them (nugget calculation, etc). I cannot offices I only want to see.

Are candlestick patterns like dojis, harami cross, morning star used in Forex technical analysis?

I know they can be used in the stock market but the forex market seems to be too volatile to use candlestick patterns. Any financial experts or traders care to shed a little light?
